Membership

The MTA is composed of more than 170 companies specializing in the towing industry.  Ninety percent of our members are towing companies engaged in the daily transportation of wrecked and disabled vehicles.  Membership also includes specialized carriers who only transport test and exotic vehicle, and who engage in lowboy service.  Manufacturers, dealers and suppliers associated with the industry make up the balance of our members.

The Association's members are located throughout the State of Michigan - from Benton Harbor and Monroe to Alpena and Traverse City - from Grand Rapids, Holland and Muskegon to Detroit, Port Huron and Sault Ste. Marie.

Originally the Association was composed of companies regulated by the Michigan Public Service Commission.  Over the past fifteen yeas, the Association has broadened its base to include both regulated and non-regulated carriers.
